The school has been in existence since May 8th, 1968. One of the goals of the schools includes ensuring that our deaf students become productive and respected citizens of Guyana.

Seeing Eyes ~ Signing Hands (SESH) Organization’s Goals & Objectives
The delivery of the best education possible for deaf students ages 11 and over, utilizing all available resources for the improvement of the deaf education program.
- To improve the technological abilities of deaf students.
- To develop and improve in GSL, ASL and English.
- To develop teachers’skill and knowledge in GSL, ASL and teaching strategies for the deaf.
